CONFERENCE IDENTITY DESIGN

For this project, I designed a visual identity for a conference concept of my choice. I decided to focus on the efforts of urban planners and architects to integrate more recreational and green spaces into our cities. Research suggests a multitude of psychological benefits of interaction with green spaces and professionals in this realm face challenges in designing spaces into already built environments.

The identity combines playful graphics in multiple muted greens with black and white imagery of bird’s eye view photography of city streets. The shapes feel soft and natural yet they organize in structured grids to bring a sense of possibility to the core concept. The identity incorporates an interactive element with bright pink stickers where pedestrians can write their ideas. The stickers can then be stuck on the map where they personally feel change is needed.
